The thing about starting a new blog during a global pandemic is there is a good chance that much of the inspiration will come from said pandemic. Do I need to write the name again? Fine. COVID-19. It’s clearly disrupted life as we all know it. Businesses are adapting to the new reality the best they can. Unfortunately, many have had to scale back on staff or close completely. I consider myself fortunate enough to work for a company that is still able to operate. My position is in sales. I’m still making calls, and have gotten quite good at the online presentation.
How I look during one of these online presentations has never been an issue for me. I’ve been a home-based worker for a good chunk of my career. And one of the things that has kept me motivated and focused throughout the years is getting up in the morning and dressing like I’m going to work. Most days this means showering and styling my hair, dressing in comfortable jeans or chinos, a collared shirt, and usually some kind of knitwear as my office space is always cold. For shoes, I usually stick to my L.L. Bean slippers unless I’m working on breaking in a new pair of shoes that haven’t yet seen the light of day.
I was hoping to highlight a few different looks, but apparently all I ever wear in WFH photos (including today – below) is an oxford and a cardigan. At least todays cardigan is green instead of the usual navy.
What’s your quarantine style? Do you have questions or suggestions for others (or me?) Feel free to leave a comment with a photo link. Stay safe. Stay healthy!
